AC Works is one of Japan's leading design platform operators, with the corporate philosophy of "Making your design dreams come true." The company operates the design tool "Design AC," as well as the free material sites "Illustration AC" and "Photo AC." The service has a total of over 14 million members, with over 140,000 paid members (as of April 2025).
Amidst the company's rapid business growth, strengthening the security system in its cloud environment had become an important management issue. However, as the business expanded, the daily workload also increased, and it became an issue to balance security measures with other work with limited in-house resources.
In terms of operations, although they had built a certain level of in-house system, security responses were dependent on a few staff members, and they needed to move away from this system of personal responsibility.
