Acquires shares in DataSign Inc. to make it a subsidiary - Achieving consistent security and privacy -
Cyber Security Cloud, Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Toshihiro Koike; hereinafter "Cyber Security Cloud"), a global security company, is pleased to announce that it has decided to acquire 100% of the shares of DataSign Inc. (hereinafter "DataSign") and make it a subsidiary.

1. Reasons for the share acquisition
The Group operates its cybersecurity business with in-house developed products, with the management philosophy of "creating a cyberspace that people all over the world can use safely and securely." While social issues related to cybersecurity are becoming more serious, regulations regarding personal information protection and data privacy, such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and Japan's Telecommunications Business Act, are being strengthened worldwide. These regulations require website operators to obtain user consent and ensure transparency in data processing, and there is a growing need for solutions to respond appropriately.
DataSign has set a vision of "creating a world where everyone can use their personal data fairly and safely," and develops and provides products such as "webtru," a consent management tool for corporations, and "Bunsin," a privacy protection app for individuals. "webtru" has been introduced to over 1,000 sites, mainly by major domestic companies, and is the No. 1 domestically developed CMP (consent management tool). DataSign also conducts research and development in collaboration with many stakeholders, including government agencies, local governments, universities, research institutes, and industry groups.
We have decided to acquire DataSign's shares, believing that combining DataSign's data privacy know-how with our group's cybersecurity business will enable us to meet market needs, improve our competitiveness through technological integration, and secure new revenue sources in growing markets, thereby increasing the medium- to long-term corporate value of both companies. This will enable us to meet the demand for integrated security solutions that comply with data protection laws and regulations. We will not only add visitor privacy concealment technology to the security of the websites we provide, and propose and provide best practices in security and privacy in our MSS business (CloudFastener), but also promote the development of safe and efficient data utilization services.
