Notice regarding the establishment of a subsidiary and business transfer
Cyber Security Cloud, Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Toshihiro Koike; hereinafter "the Company"), a global security manufacturer, is pleased to announce that at the Board of Directors meeting held on August 30, 2024, it resolved to establish a wholly owned subsidiary and for this newly established subsidiary to acquire the Startup Studio business from Startup Technology Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter "Startup Technology").
1. Reasons for establishing the new company and taking over the business
As cloud computing advances rapidly, the number of companies introducing cloud services such as AWS is increasing year by year. Recently, the number of cyber attacks has increased rapidly and the threat has grown, making security measures in cloud environments important. However, in Japan, many companies have issues with security measures due to a shortage of information security personnel. Based on our management philosophy of "creating a cyberspace that people all over the world can use safely and securely," we have entered the Managed Security Service (MSS) business, which provides comprehensive support for security operations, and developed and are providing "CloudFastener," a fully managed security service for public cloud environments.
By establishing a subsidiary specializing in systems development and taking over the development business of Startup Technology, Inc., our group will be able to further accumulate knowledge about development, including cloud environments. In addition to strengthening the development of our own products, we aim to expand our group, including our MSS business, by meeting the diverse needs of our customers, from secure development to operation.
