Photosynth is an IoT security vendor that develops and provides the cloud-based "Akerun Entrance and Exit Management System" that utilizes retrofit smart locks for corporations. With the mission of "building moving experiences into the future through connected manufacturing," the company is promoting its business with the aim of creating a keyless society that frees people from the constraints and inconveniences of physical keys, and providing solutions to resolve the labor shortage caused by the declining birthrate and aging population, which is also a social issue in Japan.

As the business expanded and the number of users increased, the AWS environment, which is the infrastructure for providing services, also expanded. Due to we holds customers' important "keys," we was considering further strengthening its quality control and security. However, in the process of strengthening security measures, securing resources and increasing man-hours became issues, and it was becoming difficult to adequately monitor and respond to security events and alerts that occurred daily while also working on core business such as service development.

To address these challenges, we introduced CloudFastener because it not only provides tools but also provides security operations support by a dedicated team and allows us to flexibly customize the balance between in-house development and outsourcing.
