An evening of talking, laughing and learning about "WAF operation issues"
"WafCharm Night vol.2" is aimed at all WafCharm subscribers and users.
We will thoroughly discuss the "WAF operation issues" that both developers and users have faced,
This is an event where you will take home practical operational knowledge about public cloud WAF.
On the day, we will be sharing examples of problems that occurred during operation, the moment the problems were discovered, and the methods used to prevent or resolve them.
Presentations were given in the form of a Lightning Talk by three users and two developers.
Afterwards, a panel discussion was held to thoroughly discuss how WafCharm is approaching these issues.
We aim to provide learning experiences that become part of the fabric of life for all participants, with a mix of laughter and empathy.
The opening address was given by WafCharm Founder Yoji Watanabe.
Next, we will have a "Product Manager's Talk" by WafCharm Product Manager Hiroaki Kuroda.
In the Lightning Talk that followed, Takuya Hanano, Yasuhiro Saeki, and Yoichi Satake each shared their experiences of the difficulties they face in the field.
After a break, our company's Hiroaki Kuroda and Shohei Noguchi will talk about some of the common hardships they hear from customers.
In the following panel discussion, with Hiroaki Kuroda as moderator, WafCharm development members thoroughly explored the "essential issues hidden in 'Aru-Aru'"
We will discuss the value that WafCharm provides and the value that we hope to provide in the future.
Finally, CloudFastener Product Manager Ryo Ogawa will introduce next-generation security enhancement measures that can be achieved in combination with WafCharm.

Mr. Takuya Hanano
He is involved in building multiple services and works on security measures and the introduction of new technologies.
After that, he was assigned as the development leader of DLsitePlay. He worked as a scrum master for the scrum team. He has now been assigned as the development leader of OTOBANANA.
He is currently working on the project as a Scrum Master, and as a member of the development team, he is promoting proposals for product improvements.

Mr. Yasuhiro Saeki
After working in the IT and security department at a regional bank, he joined Irete in 2022.
At Irete, he is in charge of operating security services such as WAF, and is also involved in solving security issues in customers' cloud environments.

Yoichi Satake
He started using AWS in his work in January 2010. He participated in the launch of an internal venture using AWS and won the AWS Partner Award in 2012. He has been in his current position since July 2014.
As a customer success specialist for enterprise companies, we focus on building long-term relationships with customers.
He is responsible for a wide range of tasks from design to operation, with a focus on cost optimization and security, taking into account the control of multi-account environments.
He was selected as one of the Japan AWS Ambassadors from 2021 to 2022 and Japan AWS Top Engineers (Security) from 2023 to 2024.
He was also selected as a Japan AWS All Certifications Engineer from 2020 to 2024.

WAF Automated Operation Service Department Manager / WafCharm Product Manager
Hiroaki Kuroda
Worked as an engineer at a contract development company and a startup.
He has been involved in many development projects, including research and development of cloud systems and real-time distributed processing, launching IoT services, and developing an inspection system for power plants and refineries using images captured by drones.
As a product manager for WafCharm, he is involved in formulating the roadmap and coordinating the development and support teams.

Shono Noguchi
Worked as a director and engineer at content production companies, contract development companies, and startups.
He has been involved in many projects, including the production of smartphone games, digital creative production, system development for experiential attractions, and the launch of a to C service using Blockchain.
As the product manager for WafCharm, he is responsible for formulating the roadmap and coordinating product development.
