(Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Toshihiro Koike; hereinafter "the Company") announced that its fully managed security service for public cloud environments, "CloudFastener," has been adopted by Daiichi Sankyo Company, Limited (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Hiroyuki Okuzawa; hereinafter "Daiichi Sankyo").

■Background of the CloudFastener Adoption
"CloudFastener," provided by the Company, is a fully managed security service in which a dedicated Technical Account Manager (TAM) works as an integral part of the customer's operations team to support cloud security operations.

To advance the use of cloud technology in drug discovery research, Daiichi Sankyo's research and IT departments jointly established an internal Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE). CloudFastener has been adopted for this purpose, with the aim of ensuring the security of the AWS environment and building a continuous operational framework.
As Daiichi Sankyo was developing its security infrastructure in the AWS environment, it faced challenges including responding to the large volume of security alerts, the high level of expertise required to make appropriate prioritization decisions, and securing a sustainable operational framework.
In addressing these challenges, CloudFastener was highly regarded for its ability to meet Daiichi Sankyo's need to maintain security operations not merely as outsourced work, but as an integral part of a company's core business.

With CloudFastener, a dedicated TAM with advanced expertise works alongside the customer's operations team, gaining a deep understanding of the environment and organization, and providing everything from current-state analysis to concrete improvement recommendations. Through the introduction of CloudFastener, Daiichi Sankyo can organize alert priorities across the various AWS security services it uses and clarify response policies, thereby supporting the establishment of a framework that maintains high-quality judgment and countermeasures against security risks while significantly reducing the operational burden on employees.
Through the provision of CloudFastener, the Company will help realize optimal role-sharing between in-house teams and external experts, contributing to the establishment of a sustainable cloud security operations framework at Daiichi Sankyo.

As we advanced our cloud transformation in-house, we recognized the practical difficulty of continuously acquiring the advanced security expertise required with our limited internal resources.
