Event Report: "Women Securing the Future" - Considering the future of women's careers and work styles in the AI era -

Cyber Security Cloud, Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Toshihiro Koike; hereinafter referred to as "CSC"), a global security manufacturer, held the "Women Securing the Future" seminar on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, to explore the possibilities for women's careers and work styles in the AI era. The event focused on the realities of AI, IT, and women, and was planned as a forum to share insights on the changes brought about by technological advancements and how women can continue to thrive in their own way.
In the first part, various experts gave lectures on the theme of women's careers and work styles in the age of AI. In the second part, there was a networking event between the speakers and participants, where more than 10 people from various professions exchanged opinions.

■ Reports from each session
1. Careers and Sense of Crisis for Female Engineers in the Age of Generative AI
Speaker: Mr. Tae Ham, CEO and CTO of bgrass Inc.

The first speaker was Mr. Kan, CEO and CTO of bgrass Inc.
bgrass is a tech company that aims to solve problems on two fronts: positive action and addressing social structures and systems. The company operates WAKE Career, a recruitment service for female IT talent, and Fairpass, an AI recruitment management agent that enables fair recruitment activities, with the vision of "making unbiased selection and evaluation commonplace through systems and technology."
Mr. Kan stated that the evolution of generative AI is fundamentally changing the way engineers work and their careers. He pointed out that the advent of generative AI has greatly increased the speed of development, rapidly polarizing the workforce between those who master generative AI and those who have their jobs taken over by it. As symbolized by the layoffs of 6,000 people at a major IT company, he said generative AI is already reshaping the very structure of the workforce.
However, she also said that these changes also present new opportunities for female engineers, as the spread of generative AI has lowered technical hurdles such as coding, increasing the possibility for women to play an active role in a wider range of fields, including upstream processes, project management, and solving social issues.
Kan concluded by saying, "We are living in an era where generative AI will reset all engineers. This is why women now have the opportunity to leverage their strengths and chart new career paths."

2. How will AI change women's lives? Considering the possibilities and risks
Speaker: Chisato Kunimoto, CEO of Cynthialy Inc. and Representative Director of Women AI Initiative Japan

Next to take the stage was Kunimoto, CEO of Cynthialy Inc. and Representative Director of Women AI Initiative Japan.
The organization aims to create a society in which women can work independently by nurturing female leaders, supporting entrepreneurship, and educating women on AI literacy.
While introducing an overseas survey that states that "AI will affect two-thirds of existing jobs," she took a positive view, saying that as AI continues to transform the structure of society, "AI will also give women more freedom in how they work and provide an opportunity to live the way they want."
The company explains that the use of AI will make tasks such as research and document creation more efficient, making it easier to balance work with housework and childcare, and will also bring closer to realizing a "society where people are evaluated based on results rather than time."
It is also said that there are more opportunities for people living in rural areas, freelancers, and others to work in ways that are not tied to location and to try new occupations.
She cited three key points for women to thrive in the age of AI: realizing flexible working styles, entering new occupations, and demonstrating empathy and creativity. "Women's greatest strength is their 'humanness,' which cannot be replaced by machines," she said, emphasizing the importance of acquiring AI literacy.

3. The reality of promoting AI - On-site challenges in spreading AI throughout organizations
Speaker: Maki Kataoka Cyber Security Cloud, Inc. Inc.

The third speaker was Kataoka, who is leading the company's company-wide promotion of generative AI.
Our company is actively promoting the use of generative AI within the company in order to increase the level of its use, with the aim of maximizing the speed of employee growth and value creation.
"I'm not good at IT," he prefaced his presentation, explaining the reality of promoting generative AI from a non-engineer's perspective. According to an internal survey conducted in August 2024, 98% of employees use generative AI, and over 80% use it daily. "Generative AI has already become an 'indispensable part of our business,'" he said.
At the heart of our AI promotion is not the idea of "using generative AI" but rather "fostering an organizational culture that makes more advanced use of generative AI." We visualize employee utilization status along two axes: "scope of impact" and "level of utilization," and aim to raise the overall skill level of the organization. We have also established an AI promotion community within the company, where we hold study sessions and lightning talks, share best practices, package prompts, and otherwise create an environment where everyone can learn from each other.
Furthermore, he explained that as a security company, they are taking responsibility to establish rules for using tools and information management systems, and are working to create an environment where generative AI can be used with peace of mind.
I was impressed by their attitude of prioritizing "safe and secure use" over "free use."
Finally, Kataoka said, "The attention to detail and empathy that are unique to women are a great advantage when utilizing generative AI," concluding, "Rather than striving for perfection, it's important to try it out first."

4. Working with AI to create your own work style and career
Speaker: Mami Adachi, Human Resources Department Cyber Security Cloud, Inc.

The last speaker was Adachi from our Human Resources Department Recruitment Group.
As a working mother raising a 1-year-7-month-old child while also being in charge of engineer recruitment and human resources planning, she spoke about her own experiences regarding careers and working styles in the age of generative AI.
Adachi joined Cyber Security Cloud in 2023 after working in sales at a major company and supporting recruitment at a startup. When she returned to work after maternity and childcare leave, she faced time constraints and concerns about her career, and recalls, "I was torn between loving my job and wanting to spend time with my children."
He said that using generative AI has become an "ally in the way I work." By leaving routine tasks, document creation, data analysis, etc. to generative AI, he has been able to focus on areas that require emotion, building trust, and judgment, thereby improving the quality of his work. "By adopting generative AI, I was able to change my way of working from 'working desperately' to 'continuing to work through a system,'" he said.

Also, the mindset I want to keep in mind for my future career is:
1. Don't aim for perfection, but value what you can continue
2. Use generative AI as a collaborative partner, not a replacement
3. Continue learning and be open to change
He listed three points:

"For me, generative AI is like a partner that helps me be myself," she said, concluding, "Not being afraid of technological advances and continuing to grow at your own pace will give you the strength to survive in the coming age."

■Report on the social gathering
After all sessions were completed, a social gathering was held for the speakers and participants.
At the venue, there was a lively exchange of opinions about memorable comments from the talk session and the use of generative AI in the workplace, with questions flying around such as "How are you incorporating generative AI?" and "Where should I start learning about it?" The social gathering proceeded in a friendly atmosphere from start to finish, and it was an opportunity to forge many new connections and find hints for the next challenge.
Going forward, we will continue to promote work styles that utilize AI, aiming to create a society where diverse talent can thrive in their own way.
