Experts investigate and evaluate the challenges inherent in companies' use of AI. We have launched the 'AI Governance Assessment Service,' which proposes improvement plans for safe AI utilization.

Supporting the establishment of governance systems that are tailored to actual usage, rather than simply "prohibiting" or "leaving it up to the field" for AI.

Cyber Security Cloud, Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Toshihiro Koike; hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), a global security manufacturer, will begin offering its "AI Governance Assessment Service" from August 31, 2026. This service involves experts investigating and evaluating the actual state of AI usage and governance challenges within companies, and presenting improvement roadmaps.
In addition, to commemorate the launch of this service, we will be offering a free "AI Governance Quick Assessment," which allows companies to easily evaluate their AI usage and management status, to the first 10 companies to apply.

Generative AI is becoming widespread not only in search and document creation, but also in highly specialized tasks such as planning and coding. In a survey published by our company in June 2026, approximately 60% of company employees who use generative AI in their work responded that "their work would be affected if they could no longer use generative AI," and approximately 40% recognized themselves as "AI dependent"(*).

On the other hand, there is a growing trend of AI usage that companies are not fully aware of, such as services contracted individually by employees and AI functions integrated into existing SaaS solutions. Without a clear picture of actual usage, companies may find themselves stuck with only two options: a blanket ban on AI or leaving decisions to individual departments. Furthermore, even with established internal regulations, it is not easy to objectively grasp the dispersed usage across departments or the gap between rules and actual behavior through internal surveys alone.

Therefore, we are launching this service in which experts in AI, security, GRC, and enterprise-wide risk management will evaluate the actual state of AI usage and governance challenges within companies through multiple research methodologies. By organizing the risks and priority issues that differ for each company and presenting an improvement roadmap, we will support the creation of a system that can utilize AI while appropriately managing risks.

In June 2026, we launched "AI MONBAN," a service that technically visualizes, controls, and audits the data flow between companies and AI. By combining our "AI Governance Assessment Service," which investigates the actual situation including aspects that are difficult to see through interviews and surveys alone, with continuous technical control through "AI MONBAN," we will provide an environment in which companies can use AI with peace of mind.

■ Overview of the 'AI Governance Assessment Service'

In addition to cybersecurity, our expert team, which has supported over 200 companies in the areas of GRC (Governance/Risk/Compliance), information security, and enterprise-wide risk management, will investigate the use of AI based on the company's organizational structure and business operations.
We assess and prioritize risks through interviews, employee surveys, and reviews of internal regulations and contracts, and then present improvement roadmaps tailored to each company's specific situation.

[Example of research methodology]

  • Interviews with management, information systems and security departments, legal and compliance departments, and various business divisions.
  • Survey of employee usage and perceptions of AI
  • Review of internal regulations and contracts for the safe use of AI

[Four perspectives for research and evaluation]

  1. Organization and Governance
We will evaluate the AI usage policy, accountability structure, application and approval process, AI service introduction review, and the development and operation of guidelines.
  2. AI services and AI assets
In addition to officially implemented AI services, we will investigate and organize the usage status of unapproved services, AI functions integrated into SaaS, AI APIs, proprietary AI/RAG, and AI agents.
  3. Data Security
In addition to handling personal information, customer information, trade secrets, and source code, we also evaluate aspects such as learning and secondary use, data storage, authentication and account management, logs, and integration with external services.
  4. Usage patterns and employee behavior
We investigate the purpose and usage of AI services, the use of personal accounts and free versions of services, and awareness of AI usage guidelines, and evaluate the gap between the rules set by companies and actual usage.

[Example of deliverables provided as part of the evaluation results]

  • Executive Report
  • AI Usage Status Map
  • Risk Heatmap
  • Assessment of AI governance maturity
  • Improvement Roadmap (Short-term and Medium-term)

■ To celebrate the launch, the first 10 companies will receive a free 'AI Governance Quick Assessment'.

To commemorate the launch of this service, we will be offering a free "AI Governance Quick Assessment," a simple way to evaluate your company's AI usage and management status, to the first 10 companies to apply.
Based on interviews with relevant personnel, we will review the current situation from the perspectives of organization and governance, AI usage, data security, and employee usage patterns, and organize the items that should be prioritized. This service is useful for companies that want to understand their own challenges before starting a full-scale investigation or system development.
