- Press Release
In response to a series of corporate data breaches and cyberattacks, an "Emergency Security Consultation Service" has been established.
Cyberattacks targeting businesses are projected to increase by approximately 1.8 times compared to July-September 2025.
Cyber Security Cloud, Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Toshihiro Koike; hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), a global security manufacturer, has opened an "Emergency Security Consultation Desk" today, October 6, 2026, in response to the increase in cyberattacks targeting domestic companies and the successive occurrences of ransomware attacks and personal information leaks.

In light of these circumstances, this service will provide free initial consultations and investigations regarding cyber incidents such as personal information leaks and ransomware attacks. Through investigations of system environments, analysis of attack log indicators, investigations for vulnerabilities and configuration errors, and investigations and proposals for countermeasures using virtual patches, security experts will organize the situation and guide you on the actions that should be prioritized to address companies' concerns and anxieties, such as "We want to check if our company has also been affected" or "We have found suspicious access, but we don't know where to start."
■Background of the launch: In the last three months, September saw the highest number of attack detections, at approximately 450 million. In addition to preventing attacks, a rapid initial response when an anomaly occurs is crucial.
Based on observational data from our Web Application Firewall (WAF) detection data, the number of detected attacks from July to September 2026 increased by approximately 1.8 times compared to the same quarter of the previous year (July to September 2025). Furthermore, in the most recent three months (July to September 2026), September saw the highest number of detected attacks at approximately 450 million, an increase of approximately 1.4 times compared to the previous month. Moreover, since the beginning of September 2026, the number of detected attacks has increased week by week, reaching approximately three times the number in the final week compared to the same period of the previous year.

■ Overview of the "Emergency Security Consultation Service" Support Service
In response to a series of cyber incidents such as personal data breaches and ransomware attacks, security experts will provide free initial consultations and investigations to check system environments, signs of attacks, and vulnerabilities.

- System Environment Survey
We conduct an initial investigation to check the environment of publicly accessible websites and systems, identifying potential targets for cyberattacks and points requiring security attention. We understand the risks that could lead to personal information leaks and ransomware attacks, and prioritize the areas that need to be checked and addressed.
- Analysis of attack log indicators
We analyze and investigate access logs, security logs, and other data to check for signs of suspicious access or attacks. We identify any suspicious behavior that could lead to information leaks and determine if further investigation or action is necessary.
- Checking for vulnerabilities and configuration errors
We conduct an initial investigation of publicly accessible websites and systems to check for vulnerabilities and configuration errors that could be exploited in cyberattacks.
- Investigation and proposal for enabling virtual patches
If a high-priority vulnerability is identified, we will investigate whether attacks can be defended against using virtual patching with a Web Application Firewall (WAF). If it takes time to apply a fix, we will propose necessary measures, including virtual patching, to reduce the risk of the vulnerability being exploited.

■Comment from Representative Director and CTO Yoji Watanabe
As of 2026, Japan has seen a series of cyberattacks, including ransomware-induced system shutdowns and data breaches due to unauthorized access. These attacks are not limited to businesses but are also targeting individuals through phishing emails and other means. Furthermore, "supply chain attacks," where damage spreads from attacks on business partners, subcontractors, and cloud services, are becoming more common. Even if a company isn't directly targeted, it needs to be prepared for the risk of business impact. To minimize such damage, it's crucial to implement preventative measures, detect early signs of a breach, and take swift and appropriate initial action upon detecting anomalies. However, in response to the recent reports of cyberattacks, many companies are feeling anxious about their own security but are unsure where to begin and are unable to take action. As a Japan-based security specialist company, we possess expertise cultivated through cyberattack analysis and the development and operation of security services, along with the technical capabilities of our specialized personnel. Leveraging these strengths, we have established an "Emergency Security Consultation Service" to quickly address the security concerns and challenges faced by businesses. We will support as many companies as possible in preventing damage and mitigating its spread, contributing to creating an environment where businesses can continue and grow with peace of mind.
