Cyber Security Cloud, Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Toshihiro Koike; hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), a global security company, has launched a new initiative called "Cyber x Campus" with the aim of helping university students learn about the importance of cybersecurity in a fun way.

The first commemorative event was held at our office on Sunday, February 2, 2025, and enabled university students to learn in a fun way through cybersecurity games and lectures on industry trends.

■About "Cybus Cyber × Campus"
To date, as part of the "Career Discovery Project" launched in November 2022, we have been giving lectures at various schools to promote understanding of the cybersecurity industry.
Unlike traditional lecture formats, this year's "Cyber Security" event was planned as a forum where university students could learn about cybersecurity in a more personal setting.
By incorporating games and discussions, the course is designed to help students who are unfamiliar with cybersecurity deepen their understanding while having fun.

■The event on the day
1. Learn cybersecurity through games!

We held a workshop to learn about cyber risks and security measures lurking in everyday life through games. Since many students who are not majoring in cybersecurity participated in this event, we incorporated a board game that included examples of familiar cyber attacks.
The game was played in a three-person match format, with about 34 participants, mostly first- and second-year university students. During the game, the team members were seen planning strategies and engaging in lively exchanges, creating a lot of excitement.
During the game, students actively discussed topics such as what they would do if this happened to them, and the excitement was intense.

2. Lectures on "Cyber attacks that are actually happening all around us"

In the lecture, participants learned about the types of cyber attacks that have been increasing in recent years, the causes of and countermeasures against these attacks, and the current state and growth potential of the cybersecurity industry through workshops. In the workshop, participants experienced a demonstration of a cyber attack that could happen anywhere, such as comparing a pseudo phishing site with a real site, and then thought about the causes of and countermeasures against cyber attacks.

3. Participant comments
Many participants commented, "I was able to think about security and deepen my understanding through group work in a relaxed atmosphere," "The game format gave me a good opportunity to think for myself," and "I was reminded of the importance of protecting information. The small group size was just right, making it easy to talk."

■ Future developments
We will continue to run "Cyber Security" in the future to provide an opportunity for university students to feel more familiar with cybersecurity and to become aware of the threats and dangers lurking in cyberspace. In today's world where cyber attacks are becoming more sophisticated, security measures are a challenge that is required not only of a few experts but of people in all fields. For this reason, we are developing a program that is not limited to students in a specific academic field or technical field, but that can be participated in by a wider range of students. Through various events and collaborations, we aim to raise interest in cybersecurity and spread its importance throughout society.
