Cybersecurity Cloud conducts cloud security training for government officials from ASEAN countries as part of a project by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.

Cyber Security Cloud, Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Toshihiro Koike; hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), a global security manufacturer, was responsible for cloud security training for government agencies and critical infrastructure personnel in ASEAN countries as part of a program implemented as part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' support for building cybersecurity capabilities.
This training was held at the ASEAN-Japan Cybersecurity Capacity Building Centre (AJCCBC) in Bangkok, Thailand, and was targeted at cybersecurity practitioners from various ASEAN countries.
■ Background of the training implementation
In the ASEAN region, cloud usage is rapidly expanding with the advancement of digitalization, making it a crucial issue to strengthen cybersecurity measures for government agencies and critical infrastructure.
AJCCBC is a human resource development center established with the support of the Japanese government to improve cybersecurity capabilities in the ASEAN region. It supports capacity building in each country through education and training programs in the field of cybersecurity.
Leveraging our expertise in cloud security, our company is contributing to the development of international cybersecurity talent through our participation in this program.
■ Training Content
In this training session, Hayato Kiriyama, our company's Director, CSO & CISO, and CEO of Cyber Security Cloud Pte. Ltd. (Singapore), served as the instructor and delivered a lecture on security measures in cloud environments, primarily AWS.
The lecture focused on the following topics:
- Fundamentals and Global Trends of Cloud Computing
- The fundamentals of security architecture in AWS (including the Shared Responsibility Model)
- Key security features such as IAM, network defense, and data protection.
- Threat detection and incident response in cloud environments
- Practical challenges and solutions in cloud security operations
The training was attended by officials from government agencies and cybersecurity-related organizations in ASEAN countries, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Brunei, and East Timor.

In the ASEAN region, the use of cloud computing is rapidly expanding with the advancement of digitalization, and consequently, the importance of cloud security is also increasing. On the other hand, many organizations are facing challenges such as sophisticated security operations and securing personnel.
This training session shared practical content, from the fundamental concepts of cloud security to key operational points. Moving forward, our company will continue to contribute to the realization of a safe and reliable digital society through cybersecurity talent development and technological collaboration in the APAC region.
