Cyber Security Cloud Ranks 9th on 2020 Japan Technology Fast 50, a Ranking of Fastest-Growing Technology Companies
December 10, 2020--Cyber Security Cloud (CSC) Inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo, President/CEO: Hikaro Ohno) announced today that it ranked 9th in the 18th Japan Technology Fast 50, with revenue (sales) growth of 230.6% based on the past three accounting periods. Japan Technology Fast 50, announced annually by Deloitte Tohmatsu Group, is a ranking of the 50 fastest-growing Japanese companies in the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) industries based on their revenue (sales) growth percentage the last three accounting periods.
Japan Technology Fast 50 is a Japanese edition of the ranking program series of TMT industries compiled by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) for about 40 countries, as well as for three regions: North America, EMEA and Asia-Pacific. It has been serving as a benchmark for growth potential and success for corporations in the TMT industries. Companies, both listed and unlisted, are eligible to apply for Fast 50, and the top 50 companies that have demonstrated exceptional growth in revenues (sales) based on the last three accounting periods are announced each year. The company's achievement of a 230.6% revenue (sales) growth rate is attributed to the following factors:
• Factor 1: Low churn rate due to increased customer satisfaction
CSC’s cloud-based WAF “Shadankun,” service for automation of AWS WAF “WafCharm” and AWS WAF Managed Rules deployed on AWS Marketplace are all monthly subscription-based services. Customer satisfaction is therefore extremely important. CSC continues to maintain a high level of satisfaction by providing consistent in-house operation, maintenance, and sales services from the beginning, resulting in a low churn rate and service additions by existing customers.
• Factor 2: Developing new technologies through R&D and global expansion
As the methods of cyber-attacks on web systems are expected to become more sophisticated at an accelerated rate due to the evolution of AI technology around the world, CSC has been investing aggressively in the development of new technologies, and its growth has been driven by the expansion of the customer base it serves.
In 2019, CSC became the seventh company in the world to be certified as an AWS WAF Managed Rules seller on AWS Marketplace and developed a new attack detection AI engine that uses deep learning. This year, CSC began providing WAF services on Microsoft Azure, enabling the automatic operation of WAF on the world’s two major cloud platforms. Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS account for more than 60% of the global cloud market.
Commenting on the recognition, President/CEO Hikaro Ohno said, “With the philosophy of ‘creating a secure cyberspace that people around the world can use safely,’ we offer subscription-based web application security services worldwide that utilize the world's leading cyber threat intelligence and AI technology. We will continue to develop services to create a secure cyberspace that people around the world can use safely and contribute to the information revolution.”
